TRICON Slipjoint Bearing

Slipjoint bearing for bridges providing expansion control and movement accommodation by Tricon Polymers

TRICON Slipjoint is the perfect solution for predictable load transfer and low friction at the interface between the corbel and the slab. Our Slipjoint ensures centralized load transfer, eliminating the chance of fretting of the corbel edge due to settlement or rotation of the slab.

The elastomeric bearing strip in our Slipjoint provides load transfer to the corbel away from the edge of the seating, preventing fretting of the concrete caused by live load rotation, deflection of the slab, or settlement of adjacent columns, walkways, walls, or piers. Our bearing can also be supplied with a stainless steel top offset, making it suitable for applications where greater shortening due to shrinkage and thermal contraction is expected.
